MWM has defined the world\u2019s first oil-air minimum lubrication system with real-time measurement of the lubricant flow rate. The oil air-unit ZLaseR-Oil-Air<\/strong> it is based on a new technology designed to create a minimal-lubrication system for high-speed bearings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Technological innovation for monitored minimal lubrication<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We have reinvented the way small volumes of lubricant are metered by developing micro-flow control technology using the new MWM IFL-type laser beam sensors<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thanks to a patented detection technology that continuously monitors the minimum lubricant flow rate and alerts the operator in real time to any interruption or deviation from the set flow rate. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s now possible to measure the instantaneous flow rate of the lubricant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How does it work?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We have done away with mechanical pumps and volumetric metering mixers. We simply use a pressurised tank which feeds the lubricant to the lubrication points via capillary tubes and air-oil mixers. Each supply line is fitted with an IFL laser sensor that measures the micro-flow rate in real time, starting from 100 mm\u00b3\/h<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this way, we have revolutionised the traditional technology of oil-air minimum-quantity lubrication systems<\/a>, thereby creating a simple and reliable system that measures and controls the micro-flow rate in real time at every lubrication point.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
